I just wanted to take a moment to say what a great guy I am married to. He works so hard for me and Isla so that we can have what we need and have a great time too. So far this year, Isla and I have gone on all kinds of "field trips" together.
In March we went to Seattle with Robin and the boys to see the Tulip Festival and go to the Zoo.
In June we went to visit my Dad in Folsom for a week. We swam in the pool every day and took trips into S
an Francisco and walked along the Pier and visited China Town.
In July we went camping with the Bickley side of the family at Sullivan Lake for 3 days. We have had a blast! All the while Ian was working tirelessly in his little office on the 3rd floor, putting out fires at w
ork.He came home at night to eat frozen food or mac n cheese. He never once complained but was just so excited for us to be having a great time. He totally respects and values my job as the mom. He thanks me for what I do for Isla and he works hard. When she was born, he took on a second job so that I could be home with her and we wouldn't have to put her in day care. He took pride in all this because he knew how much value I could give to Isla and he makes me feel respected for it.
On top of all this, he is totally supportive of all my goals and dreams I have for myself in addition to my mama career. Because of him, being a mom is a great adventure.
I always wanted to be able to take my kids all over and expose them to all kinds of different things and adventures. I have been able to do that with Isla because of Ian. What a guy! I love you babe and I'm so thankful for you!
